Mr. Bob Hornstein
Pastor

Bob Hornstein's father was a career military man and his mother a career nurse and homemaker. His family moved extensively before he turned twelve and then settled in an Arlington, Virginia suburb for about ten years. He considers Northern Virginia as the place where he "grew up".

Bob graduated from West Virginia University majoring in basketball and minoring in business/marketing. In 1974 he was drafted to play in the NBA as a center. He admits his career hopes as an NBA star were pretty slim (got cut at the end of tryouts), so he decided to play with a team sponsored by Campus Crusade for Christ called Athletes in Action (AIA). Bob played and traveled all over the USA with AIA for four years.

Later Bob applied and was accepted to Dallas Theological Seminary earning his Masters in Bible in 1985. After graduation from Dallas Seminary, Bob formed his own construction company and worked with a non-profit organization called Alternative Identity Ministry (AIM). AIM was a non-profit organization with the goal to evangelize and disciple the gay and lesbian population in the Oak Lawn area of inner-city Dallas.

In the early 1990's Bob joined the staff of Fellowship Bible Church North, a large church in Plano, Texas. There he served for ten years as the Divorce Recovery Pastor and for five of those years the Pastor of Single Adults (over 35).

Bob's passion for nurturing healthy relationships has led him through the process of authoring a book, an instructional curriculum and seminar series called The Right Stuff: Discovering and Applying the Ten Irrefutable Laws of Relationship. He presents monthly seminars and is currently planning to increase availability of his material. Bob's efforts coaching couples and individuals are having significant impact on clients' relationships. Since 2004 Bob has also served full-time as Pastor of Small Groups at Grace Fellowship Church in Johnson City, TN.

In 1995 Bob married a woman who has been an incredible friend, lover, and life companion. Bob, his wife, and their five children (ages 7-21) live in Johnson City, TN.
