
John Lawson
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
ohn Lawson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and a Licensed School Counselor (LSC) in the state of Tennessee. He earned his Master’s degree in Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from East Tennessee State University.
John has over 19 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families. He has worked in clinical settings, schools, and church-based programs. These include Indian Path Pavilion, Woodridge Psychiatric Hospital, the Unicoi County School System, and the Watauga Baptist Counseling Association.
He has also taught counseling at the graduate level as an adjunct instructor at Milligan College. He continues to serve on the college’s counseling advisory board.

He lives in East Tennessee with his wife, Heather, and their two sons. They love spending time outdoors and enjoying the mountains.
